Got on a bit of an unexpected frog bite this weekend. The pad fields that were too thick to fish a frog through this summer are now very sparse. These pads were perfect for a popping frog. The fish were concentrated on the pads and if you can find pads with laydowns nearby that was even better. Besides location, fish the frog just like you would during the summer. Focus on the Texas rig, you are going to want to fish it around submerged vegetation as well as a couple of feet away from the lines of pads running along the bank. When picking a weight you are going to want to run smaller, because the slow fall is usually when you get bit. Try different plastics, senkos, creature baits, anything in the ballpark of 4-6 inches long.
