5/27/2022. Cloudy skies, winds 5-15 mph out of the NE, air temperatures in the 50s. Last day of a multi-day cold front. This was my first time fishing this lake, and I was surprised to see that the water temp was 64-66 degrees F. The largemouth were mostly postspawn apart from a few small ones still on beds. I caught a handful on a chatterbait and one on a jig, but most of my fish came on a Neko rig. Tried some deep cranking and caught a couple pike, but no bass. Didn't catch any bass over 2.5 lbs. I'm excited to go back later this summer when the vegetation has grown up a bit and the bite is less finicky. Cheers.

The first time fishing this lake my dad and I had a ton of success fishing swim jigs. Finding bait fish and throwing swim jigs in the area they were, landing us some nice 2-3 pounders, as well as a big 4.5 pounder. Water depth was around 4-8 feet. My go to jig seems to almost always be a natural color. Or bluegill. (Baitfish)
