Fortunate to have a good day chasing smallies with my Dad and daughter. Classic late-summer pattern with the smallies on the crayfish feed. Best areas were adjacent to the river channel and the best spots contained large rock. Slow rolling ned rigs around the rocky areas in 6-8 ft of water was the most productive. This is a fish catching technique so it is a great way to get young ones or inexperienced anglers started on smallies. Peak summer means drag peeling runs and sky high jumps!
