Wednesday morning tournament, left out of Overstreet ramp and headed across the lake to Strum Island, starting off shore around the submerged trees but the wind was too much so we moved over along the grass edge and worked north. Didn't get any bites so we moved to the inside of the grass and reeds. Working a cut that had the wind blowing through it, I caught a small one on a Yum Dinger in cranberry. While trying to weigh it and get it in the live well my partner said he got one and needed the net. So with bass in one hand and net in the other got his bass in the boat, a 5lb. 15oz beauty, pictured, that he got on a buzz bait. Water temp was 62 and I was surprised that it bit the buzz bait. We stayed in that general area and caught a limit quickly before moving along. Fished inside the grass line all morning and made a few culls before heading in just before 11.

Throw squarebill around any structure. Fish as slow as possible. The bigger fish have come off submerged grass and outside pads. The lighter line the better.

I went out to lake Kissimmee to just fun fish and wound up finding some good fish on a Gambler big ez. I was targeting matted Kissimmee grass with holes in it. The water depth was ranging from 3-4 ft. I believe these fish were feeding up to spawn. If one would miss it I would throw a gambler fat ace back in at it and they would eat it. This is a really good pattern for the fall time in Lake Kissimmee.
