(5/31/20) I enjoy bass fishing this lake but I tend to bring my panfish gear with me because I have had luck in the past for them. Plus, the boat traffic can be very chaotic which makes it tough to fish anything off shore in a kayak. I have found that they can be very careless on this lake. My girlfriend had all of her success with a nightcrawler under a bobber and all of my success came with using the 1" gulp alive minnow. We had to check multiple docks before we found the good ones. We took home 12-15 but released plenty more "eaters" because I was not interested in cleaning 2 limits of fish lol I did attempt some bass fishing but didn't have any luck. I was tossing a swim jig, chatterbait, and wacky rigged senko. I was fishing around a few docks and above weeds in 6ish FOW. No luck. Water temps were around 70. No idea what the pattern the bass are in on this lake.

Docks
The dock bite can be pretty decent on Jane in the summer time. The shallow water bass will be seeking shade and cover when the water temp rises. Target the docks with a Texas rig. I prefer around 1/4oz flipping weight but 3/8oz works great as well. Pitch and skip the bait underneath the dock as far back as you can get it, and work the bait slowly back to the boat. A majority of the time the bass will hit it on the fall. Also target any natural cover you may come across like trees and logs in the water.
