Multiple strong cold fronts have caused a dramatic drop in the surface water temp by 10 degrees. After 2" rain, strong northwesterly winds have prevailed for 3 days straight with overcast skies. The fish have hunkered down a bit in 8-10' of water, with the occasional one in the shallows. They are not nearly as aggressive on the bite either. Holding the jig as steady as possible with the 25-30 mph gusts brings the most bites. Bluegrass on black 1/8 oz heads still bringing strikes, but other fisherman are getting some on other color combos as well, which is typical in the spring.
