I fished Kinkaid for a few hours on New Years Day 2021. Air temps were high 30's. Wind was 10-15 out of the SW. It was overcast with light rain and drizzle. Water temps were 42 with 5 foot visibility in the main lake island area. Fishing was slow. In about 3 hours I caught a 48"-50" muskie on a Jackall Rerange jerkbait and a 17" largemouth on a French Pearl jerkbait. I targeted points.

Water temps are mid 50"s and there is a good shallow grass bite on a frog, toad or punching a creature bait through the mats. This will continue until water temps reach the high 40"s . Find the bait...find the bass!
