most normal patterns were resulting in pickerel instead of bass. only specific vegetation in deeper water was working. flipping the one area of lily pads on the lake produced the best results in the afternoon. right on the edges of gaps in the pads or shade lines on the outer edge

I was finding schools of good largemouth along grass lines, ledges, and lily pad edges. Cast the chatterbait and let it sink for a few second then retrieve.
