    • Water Temperature

      62°

The bass are just beginning their move to shallow water to prepare for the spawn. Water temp hit 62 in the late afternoon and should continue to rise this week. Swim jigs and bladed jigs are the top producers when you are trying to cover a lot of water. They are on the move and you will need to keep the trolling motor grinding until you hit a pod of fish.

      Reeds

Find reeds that hold some depth. Slow roll the swim jig through the reeds. Look for points, pockets, and transitions between sparse reeds to thick reeds. If there are rice clumps in the reeds, stop the swim jig and let it fall into the rice. - Derian G
