Finally a good day on the boat! Crystal lake is one of my favorite local lakes. Started off fishing like I would during summer, bottom of drop offs in around 15-17ft. Caught several that way. We tried shallow afterwards which I would never usually do but we ended up catching a lot that way too. Fish are pretty scattered right now, not in their usual spots. 5-17ft will have fish, seems like they're roaming around still. 50 degree water temps, no beds, they're still getting ready to stage up. Bottom contact baits and jerk baits produced well today.

Water temps were 63-64 all around. Threw Ned rigs and weightless flukes in 15-17ft of water. Small guys, but plentiful. Bass are starting to sit on beds too. The spawn is just beginning. Get out there before the spawn funk sets in.
