Wind was blowing pretty good, and it was chilly (by Florida standards) but we were still able to catch 4 decent fish in just a couple hours on the water. 2 fish each for myself and my dad. He was getting bit on the Zoom trick worm in motor oil color, and I was getting bit on the Gambler Fat Ace in black and blue color with a blue tip.

Fished a kayak tournament out of Crooked Lake yesterday. Fishing was pretty slow, most guys got a limit but they were small, I had 70.75” and it took 73” to win. I ended up in second and had big fish with a 17.25” bass. Wind was out of the NE so I fished the grassline on the west side of the lake. Five of my six fish came on the Jackhammer, I’d cast to the edge of the grass, let it sink to the bottom, pop it up and get bit.
