We recently placed 2nd in the Clarks Hill Classic throwing a mixture of spinnerbaits and chatter baits on submerged rocks and muddy water points. Early in the morning we targeted rocks located in slightly warmer water with spinnerbaits and chatter baits. These rocks hold heat throughout the night from the sun the day before. This can often produce some good bites early in the morning when water is typically in the lower 50's. Once the water temp began to rise, we transitioned to points where the wind and waves had created a few feet of muddy water along the bank. We were able to catch numerous three pound + fish out of these mud lines. This tactic also produced our biggest bass of the day which weighed in at 5.1lb.
