Perch are putting on the weight getting ready to spawn. Start out deeper and work shallow until you find the large schools. Lots of 10-12" perch with some pushing 14". Drop shot small soft plastics if you don't have live minnows or if you run out. The larger fish were found in 7-10 feet of water.

Cayuga can be tough this time of year, but there is just so much area to cover. I didn't find much today, but the water is still cold(36 degrees Mid Lake) . I will try all new areas next trip. With the water still cold there is a lot of dead space, but if you keep looking you will run into them eventually.
