The bit has been bad. Pretty slow but I’ve been able to pick up at few here and there with either 3/8 chatter bait or a wacky rig set up.

Lily Pads
The lily pads hold big fish in them. Look for the smaller sized lilypads patches. Make sure the splash of your cast is not loud so you don’t spook some of the bigger bass buried in there

Water was very low. Ramp would be inaccessible for many boats as the water is probably 3' below the end of the ramp currently. Despite intense submerged vegetation, the water was very clear. You can probably see 10' down, but this also allowed vegetation to grow very tall as well. Hoped to throw some frogs but the layout was ideal for such because the weeds created a barrier that ranged 5' - 20' from the area; so it was better throwing at/along the weedlines. Going with natural colors on the bladed jig provided some success. The weedlines around beach area were filled with medium pikes. Didn't find much on the west end of the lake as it was very shallow and full of vegetation up to the surface. There was a dropoff point filled with active bluegill that I found some success throwing suspending hardbaits such as the Rapala Shadow Rap Deep jerkbait. A handful of bass and pikes coming up from 10' - 15' to hit it!

Cast out into deeper water and constantly shake and retrieve above submerged weeds. If snagged on weeds just pop it of with a hard jerk. Bass hit it right after. Have fun!

(6/6/2020) We had a really good morning on the lake. Got the kayaks on at about 7am and fished until noon. We caught 12 fish (10 bass, 2 pike) and the most of them were on a chatterbait. I did catch one on a swimjig and another on a Texas rigged beaver. It was really fun. Very enjoyable lake to kayak fish on since there is a lake wide speed limit of 8mph.
