Fish were in pods on sallow flats with sand grass and sparse other weeds in less than 10ft. Side imaging made it possible to find these fish without spooking them. Spot lock upwind and and cast slop bobber with a leech back to them. The wind was blowing pretty hard into these areas and getting my bait down fast and hold it vertical was critical. Having the extra weight of the 1/8oz jig, the bullet weight and the weighted bobber helped. Here's how I rig my slop bobbers: I like a 7+ft rod ML fast or medium moderate bend. Daiwa Revros 2500 reel because it has a large arbor to help keep line twist down and it picks up a lot of line per crank, 10lb trilene XT mainline for the abrasion resistance having the bobber constantly sliding on it, 10lb seagar invizX leader. On the mainline I put the knot on then the rubber stopper, then bead and bobber, then I put the bullet weight on the mainline and tie it to the swivel. I put 2-3ft of flourocarbon leader on and add my jig. Hook on your leech through the sucker and down about 1/2" will keep it on there good. I'll use the same setup all season
