Although we caught one small one up shallow the larger fish were in 15 to 16 feet of water. They are somewhat lethargic and with only one foot of visibility going with a bait that will trigger their lateral line to help them find it made sense to us and worked the best. They were sitting on the bottom.

Fishing was tough. Talked to a few anglers out on the water and their experiences were the same as ours. Bite shut off by 8 am. The only place they would hit was in the flooded area behind the brush line and they were hugging up tight to the cover.
