Lots of pressure on the lake this past weekend with the beautiful day. The Largemouth and small mouth really ate the new Strike King Gravel Dog fire craw really good. Also had several on a finesse jig with a small Crockogator bait company ring craw. Had to have orange or red in the bait to get bite.

Today being a beautiful day and biometric pressure was below 30 which typically makes for a good day of fishing. They didn’t start bite until we had a little breeze. Most fish came under shade in 18-23ft. Had 5 over 15”

Using forward facing sonar with a new Crock-O-Gator 1/2oz white Swim Jig with a Crock-o-Gator F-Bomb white trailer I was targeting suspending fish around balls of shad. Had 2 large mouth and 4 small mouth in 3-1/2 hour outing. Fun quick trip with Crockogator new bait

Targeted channel swing backs in creeks as well as wind blown points. The primary bait was a A-rig as well as a Spro Rkcrawler. Fishing was decent with several keeper bass and a bunch of nice white bass.

Bass fishing was slow, most fish caught on channel swing banks dragging a tube, 1/2oz jig with a crock-gator ring craw, and a spro rock crawler. A lot of crappie were also caught on the back of docks with jerkbaits.

The bass were very sluggish in the snow. Our best bites came toward the back of creek arms on channel swing banks. Best bite involved dragging jigs or tubes on chunk rock in 10'-15' of water. The crappie bite was also good in same areas on the back of some of the docks. The crappie were Biting bobby Garland jigs.

Finished out my 13.5lb limit with the a-rig on brush piles. I would slow roll the a-rig over the top of the pile and hang on because the fish were smoking it. I also caught some just fishing a bank that looked right with a little bit of a mud line. Kept the bait just under the surface because it was shallow and slow rolled it just parallel to the dingy water that was stirred up from some wind. Caught 4 keepers with a couple culls doing this in a short amount of time. I put two 1/8 oz heads on the bottom wires of the rig and one 1/16 oz on the middle wire. I think this helps to get the bait to spin to the right orientation in the water quicker. Also you can run one different color swimbait to draw more bites but I would put it on the center wire which always has a hook.
