The day started out slow until we found a pattern. We caught most of our fish in 10-15 ft of water. The bass were hungry and we left happy!

A very productive day on the lake. 19 total fish (9 keepers) Fished open water along edges with success on the swim bait, 3 really nice largemouth on that bait then caught several other fish on the spinner in shallower water.

Work the jig very very slow- slower than you've ever worked. Give it some little jumps and then some bigger pops too. most of the weeds have died off by this point. It's very windy though, so get some gloves or a coat ;) Jerkbaits are alright- just mainly try to work everything slowly with long pauses. For the jerk bait, pause up to about eight seconds if nothing is biting. The biggest problem with winter fishing this lake is just going too fast.
