Tiny shad in the lake around a 1"-1.5" long getting hammered by bass in mornings lots of schooling. Can catch a few shaking a minnow around bait balls. Shallow water guy at heart skipping senkos back under and into the most gnarly bank cover got my most bites. Caught a few out cranking and slowly working a worm on humps. Water is very warm go early.

Caught a 6.23 lb and a 5.24 lb yesterday. Caught the 5lb'er on the Fluke in lilly pads, and the 6lb'er on a yum dinger, under a tree on a bank the went straight down to almost 20'. The 6lber shoud have weighed 7-8lbs. It was 23.5" long, but it was skinny. The video will be out, Wed 21 Aug on Gary's Fish Tails.

Fishing shallow grass with a big worm produced the biggest bites. Caught some using a frog as well. Fish were chasing bait over deep water but could get any to bite.

Dragging a big worm is a staple on Sinclair. Junebug or green pumpkin are the colors you need. Summer time frogging is also a great way to get big bites. Mid strolling and weightless senko’s are finesse ways that consistently catch this time of year.

A jig is hard to beat when you find deeper structure. A free rig fished in the same areas is another good finesse option.

A frog is hard to beat for a big bite in the summer. A drop shot around the deeper docks and brush for numbers.

It’s hot 🥵 but we were still able to catch some good ones at lake Eufaula around submerged vegetation and deep brush piles. Good luck and tight lines 🤙

Skipping Yum Dingers into 6"-1' of water under trees as close to shore, laydowns and under cover as I could. Got two 4+lbs and a 6.26lb. See my Video on You Tube at Gary's Fish Tales. https://youtu.be/S5TtAWsHY5c

We took a vacation to a Airbnb on the lake. So this report is for July 15-19 but July 18th was the best day for size and numbers. The pads are more dollar pads than big lily pads. I fished the Z-Pop around the edge of pads where me and my daughter had caught some bluegill. Also caught some on a Choppo around what looked like bait balls along the surface midday. Best bites seemed to be dawn, dusk and 2-3 pm time frame. Other tactics were throwing a whacky rig around the edge and cuts of pads the same goes for a Texas rigged ole monster. Water color is a little brownish tint but clear so I changed to June bug to see if that worked better and it did. I would also pull a worm across the pads to mimic a snake or frog to success.

We had another great day out in lake Eufaula fishing brush piles around lake point state park near the bridge. We caught several good fish using a swim jig and football headed jig with a craw fish trailer but the best fish came from a 7.5” worm. Good luck and tight lines 🔥👍

Brutally hot and found water to be significantly lower than past trips. Fished the usuals dropshot, wacky, fluke m, swimbaits with no success. Went out deep fished some timber, open water, and bridge areas and picked up a few using livescope. If fish come up bursting bait have a crankbait ready to toss at them catch largemouth and hybrid bass.
