The cruisers that were shallow pulled off in the cold nights and have to be found. Fish are still relating to points, mixed largemouth and spots. Blueback are being found selectively, but this should increase in the coming 1-2 weeks

Fish are moving into spawn coming into the full moon on Hartwell. Cooler temps have some them held back a touch, but the fish are close.

Look for beds and frye guarders. Most of the bass have finished, but there is still another wave of bed fish on the way. Most of the fish are in groups of 3 and those fish seem to be a little more aggressive and you may be able to pull more than one fish off of the bed, but the key is patience. Make good flips past the bed and slowly swim the bait up to the and shake the heck out of it. It may take a few flips, but they will EAT IT!

Lots o lots to report. The lake is fishing well from top to bottom. People are catching fish across the lake, on all the baits listed here. Spots are up and chewing, water temps are right to really get them moving. Largies are mostly post spawn and roaming, finding the right ones are critical to winning events. In some parts fish are still in the back, in other in the middle, and others in the front. There is something for everyone. Although I don’t have it listed there is also a good wacky rig bite.

Largemouth that are currently post spawn are actively roaming, reacting to shallow water tactics with jerk baits playing a good role. Some schooling activity can be found on the lake, but it’s mostly hybrids and smaller spots, however there are some schools of largemouth.

The conditions were windy and very post frontal, bass were moving up and down the water column near spawning areas using tree lines as highways. Used an underspin with a steady moderate to moderate fast retrieve to get a reaction strike.
