Was out on the pond 9/22 from 7am-dark. The bite is getting better by the day. The dominant bite was a single hook swimbait (outkast goldeneye) (keitech fat impact) and a Ned early morning. Moving to afternoon the bite was mostly a ned bite. We found fish schooled on the sand to rock transitions. In my opinion when I see high winds it’s almost guaranteed those fish will be set up in schools next to isolated boulders but when the wind is down I see the schools start to roam into the gravel to sand or gravel to bigger chunk rock transitions. When the wind gets down I’ll spend a lot of time scanning those transitions till I can find fish. If I feel DI is not clear I will drop my aquaview camera down to hopefully get some kind of confirmation. During the afternoon all the fish I caught were verticals bites using the ned, whenever going vertically I’m using a 1/4 outkast perfect ned , whenever bomb casting I go as light as I can.
