The fish were keying onto bluegill beds next to submerged milfoil close to hard bottom, the bass were in a power fishing finesse mood. Dragging or hopping the neko rig next to the milfoil edge or across the bluegill beds was how to get those fish to bite. When the neko bite slowed down and those fish were keying onto the baitfish, dragging a grass jig was a good way to get those bigger bites.
