When it gets slick and really tough in those mid august-mid september give a neko rig a try. It can be a difficult bait to fish deep but it does get neutral fish to react when patiently fished at targets. A long cast with a slower then slow drag style retrieve around any of the types of submerged grass Lake St-Clair has to offer will get good ones to eat. This approach should be targeted towards sand spots, taller grass clumps or submerged structures it’s simply too slow to be randomly casted around as a search bait. When gets bad go neko!
