I usually fish this pond weightless or Texas rig. I didn’t even know it had catfish. Water tends to feed into the pond when the rising river floods, and gets populated by the Cape Fear. This is a great place to fish with kids, I have not seen any alligators. Does not mean they’re not there just that if they are, they don’t seem to bother the shores.
