Generally tough fishing over the 4 days we spent there. Caught several smallmouth, spots and Lg mouth but nevr reall got a good run going. Only pattern that seemed to develop was the young ones were up shallow biting but the mature fish weren't there. The fish we did see were either super spooky or were not interested in our offerings. That's fishing!

Fish were in the backs of creeks eating wiggle warts. Fishing 45 degree banks with chunk rock was the best combination that yielded a 18lb bag down towards the dam of all largemouth! Having a soft rod to allow for these big fish with treble hooks stay pinned was critical

Smallmouth and spotted bass were pushing baitfish onto points, having livescope was nice to find the active fish and be able to change the retrieve speed of swimbait as it comes through pods of fish. Shallow gravel was best for points with birds diving nearby

1/4oz Shakey head with a 8” strike king bull shad worm cut down to about 4” was the perfect combination. I found some dirtier water and the new Shamino Mastiff FC 20lb did an excellent job. This line was introduced to me about a month ago. Super abrasive, great cast ability and super sensitive. Highly recommend to try this line.
