The river was running 4.8ft made a few runs till I found some schools of fish. I did try cranking first. Caught a couple but switched over to drop shotting. Letting the trick shot hang in their face was the ticket to getting the finicky fish to eat.

I was casting up along a current break against the bank in 1-3ft of water working out to the seam. I used a moderate retrieve speed. When the bait hit the current I would let it drift down the seam. Most fish were taking it at the seam transition.

I fished a very similar pattern to yesterday. Shallow boulders crashing into them in creek mouths. The river was down to 6.4 on the gauge I use for the Susquehanna. It was a very productive pattern with multiple fish caught. There was a big drop in air temp over night.

I was cranking shallow boulders in a creek mouth. Had a slow day but fish trickled in. Weather was sunny, 68 and very gusty. The river was running 7’ on the river gauge.

The water was still dropping from the previous day. The bite was slower. Even though I was fishing prefrontal. I switched to a lighter shroomz for a slower fall. This helped with just ticking the bottom instead of holding it there. Still had a good numbers day with more bigger fish.
