Target isolated brush! the Bass are glued to them tightly and will come out to eat in close proximity. The morning bite window around this time is very key. the fish will turn off during the middle of the day and will take more tuning to get them to commit. slow roll the Umbrella rig around and over the brush as close as you can get it and keep a steady retrieve. Pauses, jerks, and speeding up turns them away. Do the same for the Nichols Spoon. Throw and twitch/jerk the spoon over/around the brush piles and allow the spoon to fall to the bottom. try different pulls, sometimes they want aggressive yanks, and other times they was a slow pull off the bottom. Tight lines!

Fish were in pre spawn staging locations chasing perch. I was running the chatterbait pretty fast with a stop and go.
