Had a great morning of fishing. Caught well over 20 bass in about four hours of fishing. Was fishing new water, conditions were perfect for frog fishing. It was cloudy and calm. Started the morning fishing a Spro Bronzeye Frog 65 in Sunfish as I figured there would be a good deal of males fry guarding. I was fishing the frog on a Denali AttaX 7' 4" heavy fast rod with a Quantum Smoke S3 8.1:1 casting reel paired with K9 60 pound "8" Strand Dyneema Super Braid. Early in the morning it was partly cloudy so that's why I went with the sunfish color frog. But as the morning progressed it became mostly cloudy so I switched to a Spro Bronzeye Poppin' Frog 60 in Midnight Walker. Fishing floating matts of vegetation and flooded water willows.

Fished last Tuesday, it was an extremely tough day on the water. Everywhere where I had caught fish a a few days prior had been sprayed by the FWC. To make matters even more difficult was the fact that it's been a full moon for a few days. Started the morning fishing a Spro Poppin' Frog 60 in Black and Yellow on a Denali 7' 4" AttaX Heavy Fast Casting Rod with a Quantum Smoke S3 8.1:1 Casting Reel paired with K9 60 pound "8" Strand Dyneema Super Braid. Eventually switched to a Spro Poppin' Frog 60 in Red Ear once the sun was over the trees. I also threw an Untamed Tackle 3/8 oz. Punisher Swim Jig in Pepper Shad with a Zoom Super Speed Craw in Pearl as a trailer on Denali AttaX 7' 4" Heavy Fast with a Quantum Smoke S3 8.1:1 gear ratio Casting Reel paired with 60 pound "9" Strand Dyneema Super Braid. Only had a few gar and mud fish blow up on the frog so I moved out to some patches of lillipads that were offshore. Flipped the pads with a VMC Tokyo Rig with a 5/0 VMC Straight Shank Flipping Hook paired with a Missile Baits D Bomb in Bruiser Flash with a 1/2 oz. WOO! Tungsten Never Chip Flipping Weight. My setup for the Tokyo Rig was a Denali AttaX 7' 4" Heavy Fast with a Quantum Smoke S3 8.1:1 gear ratio Casting Reel paired with 60 pound K9 Fishing "8" Strand Dyneema Super Braid with a 20 pound Sunline Assassin Fluorocarbon leader. Fishing was brutally tough. Hopefully after a few days the fishing will improve after the FWC sprayed so much of the lake.

The holes in the grass have been producing some really giant bags. This giant came working a speed worm style bait through the offshore hydrilla
