I’ve not had much luck lately with my usual bladed jigs, swim jigs, etc so I’ve been focused on wacky and neko rigs. I’ve done very well the last couple weeks with both. Casting into weeds 10-15 feet deep and letting them take it. I’ve got several quality fish and it’s been a blast.

Been having really good luck lately burning a Berkeley Slobberknocker with a Beast Coast Blade Runner trailer through submerged vegetation in 10-15 feet. Seems like most people on my lake only fish the shoreline, they are missing out on a lot of quality fish by not fishing deeper. Also, big fan of the 2023 Daiwa Tatula Elite Randy Howell 7’2” Universal Spinnerbait rod as my bladed jig rod. Very sensitive for a rod at its price point. I use to mainly use a craw style jig trailer, however this year I’ve moved to a paddle tail and I feel like the number of fish I’ve been catching has gone up quite a bit. The size hasn’t been there yet this year, however the numbers are up. I absolutely love the Daiwa Elite P/F reel, I use it to flip into cover, but will also use it to make full casts. Such a great reel.

Had a nice day fishing with a dirty jigs 1/2 ounce swim jig in blue gill, with the always popular Strike King Rage Craw trailer. Caught several 1-2 pound bass tossing into lily pads, varying my retrieve.
