First time on this lake and it’s interesting. I spent an afternoon pitching a drop shot and cracking a tube jig around weedlines and caught a fair amount of largemouth, nothing crazy. Weed lines were in about 12 feet. I wish I had a bit more time to explore, but given that I only had an afternoon, I stuck to weedline fishing just to put some fish in the boat. This lake is clear, but not insanely clear as you may read online. The pike have sharp teeth here, so you’ll be cracking a tube and then all of a sudden it is just line and no weight. I did end up getting one of my tubes back from a pike (as pictured) on the next cast after I was bit off. That’s a first for me.
