This is a deep clear lake and has a big drop off from the edge of the weeds close to the shoreline. I was working a texas rig googan crackin craw and catching nice sized bass. I had a 1/4 oz tungsten weight and a 4 off set hook. Throw up to the edge of the weeds let it drop all the way down and then work it popping it slowly back to the boat.
