Fishing a shallow stump field 2-6’ water was 65 degrees. Tossing around a 3.8” swim bait along stumps or submerged wood would produce fish but dragging a Yamatanuki around wood, the fish were ripping the rod out of my hand. A lot of fish were up shallow and they are feeding up ended the day with close to 15 fish all in the 2-3lb range.

Rod used: St. Croix Tundra Jigged in 18fow 10 feet down. Tipped jigging rap with minnow head. Targeted deep water basins with some forage on bottom.

Fished after the overnight storms. Fish appeared to not want aggressively moving baits. Slow was the trick. Most fish were caught between 5 and 12 for. Did catch a 2lb smallmouth near gravel.
