I wacky rigged the coppertreuse to a dropshot rig and twitched it along the lilypads growing on the shoreline. This fish hit it hard and fought well. It was a great way to start the morning. I've been told that it isn't recommended to combine the wacky rig with the dropshot, but it worked great, and I was getting bites all day. The size of the shoe being used as a reference is a men's 11

This lure pretty much got hit as soon as I put this thing into the water. I decided to throw this after not getting anything the entire evening, so I was pleasantly surprised to get hit so quickly. I threw it just outside of some lilypads on the shoreline and was slowly twitching it back when it got hit hard. I was surprised this worked so well since the worm was so short, I didn't think it would have enough action to trigger a bite (especially since the fish in the area werent eager to bite), but it worked. The size of the shoe I used as a size reference in the picture is a Size 11, so I would guesstimate the fish was about 10 inches in length.
