Found great success targeting small rock pile flats in 15-20 feet with access to deep water near by. The afternoon time with the sun out was best for me. I would find a rock pile I wanted to target, make long casts as the fish would be easily spooked and very slowly drag my jig. Sometimes it would be a light pick up, others they would nearly rip the rod out of your hands. Use heavier powered gear as many hook sets would be with lots of line out. Caught my PB of 5.6 lbs doing thing
