Fish were in the cabbage 6-8'. There was a good bite, until the fog burned off. The sun pushed them deeper into the weeds.

Tossing the wacky rig out along the weed edge and at other submerged vegetation. Bass bite was slow, but managed to hook up on a decent bonus pike!

Good day on De Montreville! Weightless salty Yamamoto baits tossed against the grassline and standout vegetation was the ticket. Winner of the day was the Fat Ika rigged backwards. On the fall it swims away from you right into the target structure.

Mid summer time the bass can be commonly found on the weed lines in this lake and others throughout Minnesota. Find the weed line on this lake and cast parallel to it with a crankbait of your choice. Straight retrieve worked the best for this day and we were able to cover a lot of water. On this day this technique produced a handful of quality and a lot of quantity of bass.

Started in the morning throwing topwater but had no luck so I moved to submerged weed pockets in 4-6' of water with a neko rig and started catching bass. I did not have luck on docks unless they were on points to deeper water. Later in the day I switched to a jackhammer chatterbait and started to work weed line transitions to deep water 10+ ft and started catching better sized bass along those transitions.
