I pitched the CJ Flip into some hydrilla stretches and worked it through. The jig comes through nice and clean. I’ve got a MaxScent Chigger Craw in black as the trailer. It gives it a nice contrast. As I pull it through the hydrilla I would kill it from time to time. On the pause I felt a slight thump and the bass was on! I have also caught bass pitching this on the outside of a weed line and drag it on the bottom. I will also use a hop technique with long pauses in between hops. It’s a fun way to catch them and the jig is top notch!

Docks
I went out on Moss the other day for the first time in about a year. I spent the day flipping a K.O. Baits Purple Rain Trick Worm and a PB&J Zoom Trick Worm on dock posts and deep timber. K.O. Baits is a new company that I have recently partnered with that makes great soft plastics. Check them out on Instagram @k.obaits. The docks were anywhere from 5-15 feet deep and the timber was around 25-30 feet deep. I just flipped the worms on a texas rig at the target and let them slowly fall down the side until the fish suspended about halfway down into the water column would very subtly suck the bait in. The bite was very soft and subtle so paying attention to your line and really paying attention to any odd feelings you get in your rod was key. The fish were in a bit of a summer to fall transition funk so in order to land fish I had to just start reeling and essentially "reel-set" to set the hook. If I set the hook hard like I normally do on a Texas rig, they would almost always come off. The bite is slow right now as the water is still in the low to mid 80's in temperature and the fish are in transition from their summer holding areas into the fall season, but there are still plenty of fish to be caught. This day was sunny and had a strong wind out of the southwest, and our best 5 ended up going right around 10 pounds. No giants, but still a fun day on the water nonetheless. Thank you all for reading my reports and tight lines!
