Hey- Grundy Bassman here. I hammered em today out on old Heidecke. Bass were biting the orange colored rattle baits today. I normally charge $49.99 for this info but I’ll give it out free today. The retrieve was a simple yo yo. Cast out, let the bait hit the bottom, let it sit for 2-3 seconds, then a quick snap up and repeat. The fish hit on the fall and you’ll set the hook on the next snap up. Try the RAT’L trap first then mix it up and see what works best. You’re going to catch some walleye too. As always, good luck and until next time I’ll see you in the woods and on the water. The Grundy Bassman

Solid ICASST tournament today! We finished 10th out of 40 boats with 6.9 pounds of largemouth and smallmouth. In the morning, we tried for largies in the reeds but found they hadn’t pushed up yet since the water was only 50 degrees. We then picked out a deeper rip rap shoreline where we caught smallies with a dropshot on the rock to clay transition line. As the day progressed and the sun warmed up the water, we went back to the largie reeds to find that the water was now 56 degrees and a few had pushed up into them. I picked a couple off with a flipping bait and got our limit with 10 minutes to spare. Overall a great time on the water!
