I targeted weed edges in 12-16ft adjacent to deep water. The key was dropping my camera down and getting a good view of the bottom. I was looking for the edge or sparse vegetation. Both set lines and jigging has been stellar.

The fish were setting up on big boulders in the shallows. If you were up shallow and there were bait and boulders around you were catching them. Visably looking for big boulders was key. There was often smallies right on them. The ned bomb was killer for theese smallmouth! The other ned rig baits could not keep up.
