It was a very slow day today. Only had three bites but they were all quality bites. Was able to catch all my fish on a jackhammer with a venom lures creature bait as the trailer. Water temperature was around 44 to 46° but water clarity was quite stained. Also caught a few small fish scoping and 20 ft of water.

Fishing was pretty tough. Post-front, algae bloom on the water, 50-degree water, and plenty of pressure in the tournament. The only way that I could get them to bite was by tossing my shakey head past the brush pile, pulling it into it and they just barely shook my worm. The bite was just a little extra weight and you'd just have to reel into them. Once they were hooked it was a sea sawing game to get them out. Keeping the drag backed off even on the hookset was important.
