The weather is crazy and the main body was just too crazy this day, so I walked up and spent a couple hours at Avery's Pond, just above Rattlesnake Bar. What a gem! I was casting out to the middle and slowly popping the Strike King Game Hawg back to the shoreline. Beautiful day out there! Thank you Strike King! Had to stay close to home this weekend, so out I went to Torture Lake...Uh...I mean Folsom Lake. Today, the lake was kind. Had some success with 6th Sense Crush Crank Bait over humps and rises that were about 5-10 feet deep. That bait bump bump and popped right through the sandy, rock surface. I'm still figuring out crank baits, so if this one caught me some fish, I strongly recommend it. And of course, it's not a day of fishing for me if I don't pull out my Texas Rig rod. The Strike King Cut-R-Worm always comes through. The Blue Craw pattern across the entire Strike King line does very well at Folsom. Just head to a rock pile, send it down and hold on! The bass haven't pulled up to spawn yet...but they're coming...
