Water temp was 43 and the Largemouth and smallmouth were snappin! Caught most of my fish on a jerkbait when it was windy and a blade bait when it cooled off. Long pauses (10+ seconds) on the jerkbait were key. With air temps below freezing, I feel like I have more control of a jerkbait with a spinning rod.

Fishing around rock piles, boulders and rip rap I have been catching smallmouth really good on a jerkbait. I’ve been using a really long pause 10+ seconds and watching the fish come off the bottom to eat it on livescope.
