Caddo is in a little bit of a funk right now but there are still fish to be caught. I fished cypress trees next to or close by to creek channels. Specifically focusing on isolated trees or tight clusters of trees. Cranking and throwing a spinnerbait at various anglers around the trees proved to very effective. Occasionally I would come across a matt of vegetation an got a couple bites but not near as many as fishing the cypress trees.

Bite was solid on a 4 day trip to Caddo. Sunday the wind shifted and was out of the north which slowed the bite slightly. Fishing was still good with a slower presentation. Fish were tight to the base of Cypress trees and were mainly found in the ones a few yards away from the submerged Islands versus the ones in the middle of the flats. Was also able to catch a few good ones in the very shallow water heading into the small islands. Worms and jigs pitched at the bass if trees was most productive but was able to get some better quality fish swimming the Magdraft on the shady side of the trees. Fish well!
