Water temp low 70s, skipping docks around the southern end of the lake with a bladed jig and skipping jig a rage menace was the best trailer for this situation rigged horizontal to give whatever bait I was throwing more lift to get out of the curly leaf pondweed around docks.

Had a great tournament throwing a buzzbait all day long. They were pretty grass oriented, the bite was better earlier on but they would still bite once the sun had gotten up. I'd pull that skirt off of the buzz bait and either throw on a black horny toad or in my case I ran out... a Z-Man Goat in Green Pumpkin seemed to work just fine, super-glue it on there, crank up the troller, and go crack em.
