Very bright and sunny when we first hit the water around 5:00. Wind was sitting around 4-5mph and then picked up to about 10-12mph when we got fishing. Hit our first dock and put a 14"er in the boat on a Wacky rig and then proceeded to get no bites for a solid two hours. We found a spot in about 5' of water that had a hump of vegetation coming out of it and started casting a jerkbait around the vegetation and pulled several smaller bass and one keeper off of it. Had a lot of trouble converting hits on the jerkbait into bites. Played with some different colors but the only thing getting action was a Stunna in Shad Fillet. When it started getting darker a popper turned up a little bass, but unfortunately we were unable to get on a top water bite. Managed to get one more keeper in the boat on a wacky right before weigh in. Weights were 12.3, 8.3, 7.3 for top 3 positions.
