Bite-Me Tackle "Stupid Tube" Jig Head
$3.49
Reported by
Mark Charpentier
Lake Vermilion (MN)
Mark Charpentier reported catching Smallmouth Bass using the Tubes technique and Bite-Me Tackle "Stupid Tube" Jig Head on Lake Vermilion. Additional comments from this report: "Today was sunny and breezy. We focused on reeds with a few rocks in them. The smallmouths were on the edge of the reeds. Like yesterday’s post said the bass would sometimes drop the tube and then get hooked on the second cast. We had to fish fast until we found the right reeds. A steeper drop near the reeds was best. The tube also picked up some good fish in 8-12 ft. of water where there were scattered boulders. "

SnowtaBass reported catching Largemouth Bass using the Tubes technique and VMC Dominator Tube Jig on Lake Saint Croix. Additional comments from this report: "Early June with water temps in the low 70s. Found smallmouth in the shallows in the 3-7ft water depth approximately. Pretty much the whole shoreline of the St. Croix can produce a decent smallmouth bite. The shorelines that have the larger rock seem to hold the larger bodied fish. Pitch/cast the tube jig up to the shoreline and work it back to the boat. The fish were hitting from the shoreline to the boat as they were pretty scattered."
