Welcome to the tackle breakdown of the metanium DC70XG and the tackle breakdown of the Twin Power XG, the new version of the C3000XG to be exact with this model that we have here. Both of them are new to us here at Omnia Fishing and new to everybody out there in the fishing world and two of the more popular high-end reels from our friends over at Shimano. Shimano North America makes some of the highest-end reels we sell in the marketplace here at rods as well. But these two being two of the more popular enthusiast level reels, starting with the metanium DC70XG, this reel features a magnesium one-piece frame. So magnesium is a metal so it does feel extremely solid, it does make the reel feel even smoother when you as you reel it in the gearbox and everything having that metal frame to it. But magnesium is extremely light so this thing is coming in in extremely low weights. It's a beautiful reel to palm. The 70s size is a smaller spool as their MG3 spool so it is ported at a lighter weight spool but it features their IDC5 braking system which is adjustable externally and internally for fine-tuning of that DC braking system. These reels are going to be some of the most popular reels for your high-end flipping sticks all the way to jerk bait rod. If you're fishing some of your favorite techniques in the wind or in tough conditions, this reel will shine at that obviously. That's a DC's known for. It's that digital controlled braking is very very easy to use and all different types of scenarios, all different weight lures and things like that. But honestly I think myself and a lot of people think pitching and flipping when you pick this thing up because it is incredibly nice to palm but it does feature those heavy-duty micromodule gears and a really connected hard core feel. This thing feels like a powerhouse in a small little package which makes me think big line and a jig. So awesome reel here from Shimano. Check out the Mittainium DC70XG for all your fishing needs. Next up we're going to go with the twin power. This version of the twin power is still made in Japan. I love seeing that in the stem there. High-end manufacturing standards, this thing feels like it too. The body on this reel is a hybrid body between CI4 and aluminum. So you have carbon fiber and aluminum materials in the frame. That excites me immensely because aluminum feels great in a reel and it gives you that confidence. It's nice and sturdy. It makes it real so a lot of times it feels smoother. They feel a little gearier with that CI4 material. Typically any carbon fiber material but you get that weight savings with carbon fiber. So this being in between you can kind of tell right away. It feels solid. It feels like a metal reel but it's lightweight which is really cool. Next up look at that trippy picture there. As I spin the reel even fast the spool oscillates super slow. So that's their infinity loop system. So this is actually a slow oscillation process that's going to improve your line light and improve your line management. So you're going to cast further and you're going to have less issues with worrying about wind knots and things of that nature. You can confidently fish super lightweight braided lines in the wind and not have all those line management issues. Lastly, the last feature I'd like to point out anyway there's a whole bunch packed into this sweet little reel here but it is their Dura Cross drag. That's a material that is going to be very similar in the lightweight smoothness. You get out of felt washers but you get that power and consistency of carbon fiber washers. To me that's always been a big difference right. If I'm a light line angler looking for those light really really minuscule details in my drag and on the settings that's usually where oil felt drag washers shine that carbon drag for those high heavy running fish or big big line and you're really really setting the hook really hard. The fact they have a material and a system now with these drags where it features both that oil felt washer and the carbon fiber material. That's pretty cool stuff here from Shimano. Check out the new twin power from Shimano North America.
