So one of the key baits that I use in the summertime is the square bill. You know, and this is not your typical crankbait fish. And this is aggressive, you know, around cover, woods, rocks, docks, things like that. And so I need a rod that I can cast well with, but also be able to handle the fish. This is a seven foot all around Kara by Falcon. It has a little bit of tip, you know, so that fish can take the bait. But also enough that I can get it away from, get that fish out of the cover. And it's the same rod that I use throughout the winter as well. But in the summertime, it's a 6.6 JCLite by Spro. In the wintertime, you know, I'll drop it down to a five. But in the summer, it's a six. I like 16 pound sunlight sniper. And the reason being is, you know, digging in the rocks, digging in the logs. And also it keeps my bait up higher. I feel like in the summer, these fish, they don't want to be on the bottom as much. So it's typically 16. But it's a good reel, you know, as far as just being able to, you know, short cast, pick it apart and being able to really, you know, be able to move the bait a lot. It's a setup that I've used for, I mean, the same gear ratio rod and line for years and years.
