Dropping Waypoints

You can drop waypoints anywhere at any time. There are two easy ways to do this:

1. On the water: Hit the orange button in the bottom right corner to drop a waypoint on your current location.
2. At home or in the studio: Tap and hold on any spot on the map to drop a waypoint.

 

Pro Member Features

For pro members, you can view current weather conditions when you made that waypoint. This is key when you drop a waypoint on a specific location. For example, if I'm looking at a waypoint on a main lake point with hard bottom near deep water, I can tap on this waypoint and see:

• Weather temperature on the day I dropped the waypoint
• Wind direction
• Air pressure
• Moon phases (especially important in springtime)

 

Filtering Waypoints

Another cool feature is the ability to filter waypoints:

1. Go to the bottom left corner with the waypoint and three bars icon.
2. Look at all your waypoints in a list.
3. Hit the filters button to filter by:
   • Waypoint type (marker, fish, structure, great spot, or hazard icon)
   • Water bodies
   • Time or day you created the waypoints

This is great for filtering waypoints by season, especially if you fish one main body of water.

 

Sharing Waypoints

Sharing waypoints within the app is easy:

1. Click on the waypoint you want to share.
2. Go to the bottom right in the middle where it says "share".
3. Hit the share button and send it to your buddy via text or your preferred method.

Only the person you share with can see that particular waypoint.

 

Unique Features of Omnia Waypoint Management

You can add other layers on top of any mapping layer, including weather layers. For example, I'm currently looking at the C-Map social bottom hardness map layer with wind direction overlaid. This is my favorite weather overlay because wind direction is key when choosing fishing spots.

The beauty of having multiple layers stacked on top of each other is that it makes it easier to:

• Get to know the lake better
• Precisely locate even the smallest spots on your favorite body of water
