What's up everybody, Gomikatsu, pro Mike McClelland and you know again I've talked about a lot of different hooks and I think again if you ask five anglers you're gonna get five different answers but for me I try to keep my hook choices relatively simple but one of the hooks that Gomikatsu has had for many years and I've always been a big fan of is the Gomikatsu offset shank EWGs and you know the thing about the EWGs is they they've always come in two different grade wires You've got the super line and you've got your standard grade the thing that's cool about All these hooks moving forward is they're gonna be nano-alpha coated which is it's a slicker sharper Better finish than anything that we've ever had the thing about it is it's a finish that's almost never gonna rust and that's so Important you know for any of us angles. I mean we spend time on the water in the water in the rain and you want to hook That's not gonna rest so the nano-alpha coating is gonna help with that factor the thing about these two hooks When you look at the reasons and the uses for just the offset shank EWG and the superline EWG Really anytime I'm fishing bulkier plastic baits that have thicker bodies Tube style baits creature style baits, you know baits like this big bite. Yo daddy baits like this Big bite college crawl. I mean these are baits that the bodies are thicker You know big big worms anytime you're fishing a bait that has a thicker body The EWG is a hook that I like to use tubes is another bait that I love to flip an EWG in The difference in these two hooks is simply the grade of wire and the thickness of the wire If I'm fishing really really thick cover the superline hook, you know heavy line thick cover vegetation The EWG superline is gonna be the gamma-kotsu that I choose if I'm fishing isolated cover if I'm dragging a Carolina rig Any type of fishing I'm doing with a thicker body bait that I just need a standard wire hook just a standard EWG Gamma-kotsu is gonna be the one that I turn to so if you're looking for that hook that will work in a lot of different situations be sure and check out the gamma-kotsu EWGs in the superline and the standard wire *Music* [fade away]
