Video Transcript

This one's pretty cool here. Look at this one. This is the Jade Python spinning rod. So far with the Orochi X10s that I have not had in the water yet that I'm hoping to change very soon here, the spinning rods to me feel really really really nice. This one in particular. This is the Jade Python badass name. It's a badass rod. The aesthetics are really pretty on it. This is that organic fiber material that's new to Mega Bass. Feels pretty incredible. I think it's new to everybody to be honest with you. Loving the handles so far on these things. It is sort of a hybrid between a split finger kind of real seat and a four grip real seat. I think it's more of a four grip real seat which I like a lot. Kind of puts that hump into your palm. Real big fan of even the way they did the P5 real seats from Mega Bass 2 because I am a hand forward of the real kind of guy and I think either way with the kind of the way they designed their real seats here, they're minimalistic but they still feel like you get a good grab on the rod above it. So you're using your whole arm versus just your wrist to fish with the rod. I like that a lot. I think it was a very well designed real seat. The aesthetics on these rods are absolutely beautiful. You can see the little hits of like teal all over the rod and it's really cool stuff. Pretty wraps. As you'd expect from Mega Bass, this one is a medium fast action they're calling it. So it's a very versatile spinning rod. Medium light seven foot medium fast power or medium fast action I should say. Going to go bend this one on the wall and give it a wait and see how I'm going to give it away and see how much this thing weighs. Check out the Jade Python from Mega Bass. Jade Python and the Orochi X10 lineup from Mega Bass. This one just weighed it came in surprisingly at four ounces and I'm going to be completely honest with you. I thought it was going to weigh a lot less than that because this thing does not weigh that much. It doesn't feel like it weighs that much. I think maybe the combination of this real and the way I hold the rod with my hand up forward here it's like perfectly balanced as you can see there. It feels really alive and light so to be completely honest with you I'm surprised that it weighs that much. These blanks are that organic fiber. They do feel really alive and I'm going to be honest with the action so far too. There we go. Let's do even a hooks let me tighten up the drag here a little bit even. All right so almost dead on right. All right so this is what I would want to call medium fast action right. It's not with just the line on it. I bent it and I was laughing with everybody here and saying like well this is going to be way off. It felt really really fast but with any sort of load into it at all now I get why that's a medium light and I get why they call it medium fast. It feels like a medium light now and it then it looks like it's a medium fast action rod but it doesn't feel very fast at all once you put some load on it and actually put some power to the rod and it feels lighter in power. This thing feels super versatile to me and I mean that. If you're running braid to a leader I think you could get away with anything from a po pper like a trouble hook bait like a jerk bait something like that if you're a spinning rod person for those kind of baits. To what we do up here in Minnesota called jigworm and where the exposed hook on a small jig like a four inch Senko with a jig hook exposed on a weed line it's got plenty of power to still snap that stuff up especially with some braided line and a fluorocarbon leader but it's got a softer safter power to it softer backbone that I think your landing percentage would be real high with some finessy presentations and lighter hooks and if you wanted to run a big hook and still set the hook on it I think it's got enough power to do that. I think you're using the meaty part of the rod to really crack on it with this thing. Really cool rod. I'm actually more impressive that now with bending it on the wall than I was holding it off the wall. This is definitely a lot more unique action bending it on the wall than it felt like when I picked it up and bent it with just the line on it or just bending it on the floor. So interesting rod here from Mega Bass if you're looking to fish any moving baits of the spinning rod or have a real versatile rod that you can fish light wire hooks up to some more powerful hooks as well. Presentations with your spinning rod check out this Jade Python X10 Orochi.
